Open Critiques — select Wednesdays from 7 - 9 pm
February 11th, April 1st, June 3rd, July 29th, September 23rd and November 4th
We’re hosting six Open Critique Nights again this year! Each night offers four photographers 20-25 minutes to share prints or digital files and receive feedback from the community.
Limited to 4 presenters; advance registration required. Suggested donation for presenters: $5-20.
Everyone is welcome to attend – registration only needed for those sharing work!
*Registration for February 11th is not yet open, check back soon! The following critique’s registration will open after the previous critique date has passed.
Open Studios — select Sundays between 1 - 5 pm
March 15th, April 26th, September 20th, and October 25th
Open Studio Sessions are community days for learning and sharing photographic knowledge – open to all experience levels. Choose to focus on B&W film development or digital printing. Please register for one session to ensure space for everyone; you’ll receive a confirmation email with details.
Limited to 14 participants. Suggested donation: $5-15

Pia Guilmoth Artist Talk
Pia-Paulina Guilmoth lives and makes art in rural central Maine. Pia is a working class transgender woman who lives with her girlfriend and two cats in a small tree-house-like space inside of a very old shoe factory on the bank of the Sandy River. In her free time she likes to lay in the dirt, shoot guns, hold her friends, and trespass into abandoned houses and barns. Pia’s work is foremost about harnessing beauty as a form of resistance to a world full of terrors. While making art she is thinking about class, gender, euphoria, dysphoria and whatever else is happening in her life at that given moment. Pia is releasing her third book in November 2024 with Stanley/Barker titled Flowers Drink the River. She is having her first major solo exhibition with Webber Gallery in London upon its release. She was a 2022 Macdowell Fellow in Visual Arts, and is a 2024 winner of the Google/Aperture Creator Labs, and the Peter Reed Foundation grant. She has another solo exhibition opening in Italy at Studio Faganel in spring of 2025.
