BPC Photographers
The Bakery Photo Collective is currently comprised of twenty photographers who engage in daily creation, exploration and print making of photographic works using both traditional analog and digital mediums.

Nanci Kahn is a photographer and artist living in Falmouth, Maine. She is the Curator of Photography at the Maine Jewish Museum and also works as an Assistant Preparator at the Portland Museum of Art.

I am a mixed media artist who has always been captivated by the art of photography. My first significant experience with photography was at age twelve when my parents gave me a Brownie Holiday Flash Camera to document my first big out-of-state camping trip. I used it with fascination and delight.

Community Rental Facilities
Yes, we are open to the public by appointment. Book time with any of our public facilities and make your photographs come to life in the physical form of prints!

Black & White Darkrooms
The Bakery has two brand-new, black-and-white darkrooms, with traditional analogue and alternative-process capabilities.

Digital Workstations
Our digital workstations include two iMacs loaded with Lightroom and Photoshop, two large format Epson printers (P6000 & P8000), and an Epson P900 printer, plus magnetic hanging walls and a color-viewing light for proofing prints.

Epson Film Scanners
We have two Epson flatbed scanners: the Epson V750 and V800; each with their own iMacs loaded with VueScan, Lightroom and Photoshop.

Black & White Film Developing
We also have a developing station for those who love to process their own black & white film! We even provide you with free chemicals, a dust free film dryer and a large light table for viewing developed negatives, equipped with a high power air compressor.

Photo Book Library
The Bakery Photo Collective is proud to house a photography-based collection of around 500 books, magazines, and journals. Renters can view any of our books for their personal enjoyment in-house at the Bakery. Bakery Core Members have access to check books out.
